Omega 3 is vital to prenatal development and particulary for the development of the nervous system. Omega 3 deficiency during pregancy has also been linked to postnatal depression. Eating 2 portions of oily fish per week is important, however, some fish contain mercury, pcbs and dioxins which, in high doses, can hurt your babys growing brain and nervous system.
